Unfortunately, for us guys, on average, just being handsome/attractive isn't enough to get laid. For females it is, but for guys it would appear that you have to have a little more to offer besides just a nice appearance.
If you're a chick, as long as you stay relatively washed and you aren't fat or deformed, you can find at least a handful of guys who would shag you without even learning your first name.
If you're a guy, even if you take care of yourself, you still would have a somewhat more difficult time getting laid.
