The actual form of government is largely irrelevant if you can't curb corruption and bureaucracy from weighing a country down. I'd take a benevolent dictator/philosopher king, logical and truly egalitarian communist government, or a capitalist society not run by an oligarchy, over any other form of government granting basic freedoms to the people so long as it isn't held back by politics/favors/rigged systems/etc. All have inherent merits, but none will work if they're rotten to the core.

On the topic of booze I am debating getting a couple eight-packs of dirty Canadian Cold Shots on Monday. Helping my boss out at karaoke on Sunday night since she can't make it, so me and her boyfriend are running it. So as a treat, Monday morning it's straight to the beer store.

Oh shit, I do remember that they had these Steel Reserve mix drinks. My girlfriend and I were a little skeptical of them but we each tried one and they were really fucking good.
