The Pimp Newly Discovered (by You) Bands Thread

Miley Cyrus..nothing like her...pure virgin talent...her music will rip you a new asshole...

Her new stuff is heavier than Sonata, Angra, and Dream Theater combined.
She is breaking away (hence the title of her new album "BREAKOUT") from the Disney machine, and coming into her own. She wrote or co-wrote most of the tracks. Listen to "7 Things I Hate About You"

Miley > YOU!

do you need more thrash? I saw By Inheritance in ur sig once, and this band is

Eliminator
Sauron(US)
Toxic Holocaust
Lethal

pretty good new-thrash bands

Hmm I already know Toxic Holocaust (wore my t-shirt of them yesterday actually) and Lethal but I've never listened to the other two, I'll check them out.

yeah those bands were more for the thread while I think you need to finally get out of that melodeath crap and into the best genre of them all :) old school thrash

eh I've been bored with melo-death for the past half year or so...really the only bands I still listen to are Dark Tranquillity, At the Gates, Insomnium, and Eucharist. And I guess Carcass's Heartwork-era counts. But aside from that I've gotten way more into black metal over the past year. Thrash is next

Hey Jasonic, you are way off. Miley's new stuff is way heavier than Decapitated, Suicide Silence, and The Black Dahlia Murder combined; and her lyrics are so mind-boggling, that I can't even begin to understand what the fuck she is talking about. Plus, the way she uses blast beats in her music...well, it just blows my mind, and then the guitar solos, what can I say...other than...holy shit. Plus, how can you not want to mosh to her cover song, girls just wanna have fun. It is the new moshing anthem of the century.

Ok, on a serious note, I just found out about Demiurg, which is another Swano thing i never knew existed. I believe he played drums and keys on their cds and did the mixing and so forth as well. It is definately for fans of ressurection through carnage Bloodbath.

Eventhough this band has been around for awhile, I've recently checked out Korpiklaani. Really cool stuff indeed, so it's opened up a few other bands for me to check out such as Eluveitie and TYR.

Normally, I don't go for this sort of thing, but I've been in a diggin' for music sort of mode lately.

I am also now getting into Serenity. I am liking what I am hearing from the new one Fallen Sanctuary. By the way, it leaked today, but it does have voice-overs, so any hardcore listenings will come without voice-overs sometime soon.

OK I shall pimp some more... I caught these guys live last year (they tour the west coast and are really working hard) and they were freakishly talented and just played perfect... Pretty awesome young group...

"Aziola Cry is an instrumental trio from Chicago consisting of Warr guitar, guitar, and drums. It is this unique line-up and interplay between the guitarists that help define the band’s sound. The numerous time-signature changes and moody tempo shifts in their compositions are all a part of the overall goal of telling a story through music."
