The plugin format you would buy

AU of course.
However, this poll is pretty irrelevant to anything. It only shows what systems and DAWs the people who happen to open this thread are using.
There's a lot of demand for good free mac plugins, and you said it: the PC world is already flooding with free plugins. So why add the Windows options?
I don't know much about other DAWs in OSX except for Logic, but I do know that Reaper is growing increasingly popular, and it accepts both mac VSTs and AUs, so as Logic is quite popular as well, I'd say AU is an obvious choice...
EDIT. Ah, so this isn't about a FREE plugin? Well, if this person is planning to sell his guitar plugin, I'd still say do it for Mac. Lots of great plugins on PC for free... I doubt he would do as well. Competition with free plugins that can be made sound almost or equally as good, perhaps even better... It won't be easy.
