the pro tools back lash

that was funny...
on an interesting aside....
For my bands next album we're gonna be tracking it live; because (without meaning to sound like an arrogant twat..) we can play that well.
However. i will not for a second deny editing, reamping, sample replacing etc etc; coz thatll just make it sound good.

Trivium are Royal douchebags

omg didt see that for a while.

my favourite quote :
"it didn't kick people's asses right in the face"
cracks me up :)

this video really shows that after like 3 albums production in the studio, those guys have still no idea about metal music production.
and also that drummers are often not so clever :p

i hate bands/people who criticizing the modern ways and say analog-style is better. it's a bit like dave grohl in that written interview.
those guys they just can afford it, they have budget for that. the rest of the world just can't work like that.

Dunno about that. On some of the live videos Mille is very, very sloppy on guitar. I don't think you can really assume what a band are like in the studio unless you're there with them.

After 6 years, I still haven't worked with a single band I felt were adequately prepared for recording. Totally get where Andy is coming from with this thread. It really stings to see the band's backlash against the engineer, when they apparently have no idea how much work it went into making their performances sound as good as they do in the first place.
