Let's choose the saddest song ever written; in any genre. Write 3-5 titles, you can write something more about them.

"Closure" by the Op&ths. It's a bummer.

Um... Streets Of Sorrow by the Pogues.

"Lucy" by Nick Cave. And also "From Her To Eternity" if you can include psychotic depression under "sad".

"Dream Brother" by Jeff Buckley also makes me sad somedays.

Joy Division - Love Will Tear Us Apart
Joy Division - Atmosphere
Joy Division - Decades
Joy Division - New Dawn Fades

Judas Priest - Beyond the realms of death
But it sounds funny when he goes "AND THEN HE DIIIIIIIIIIIIED"

Black Lung - Prozac parade
Coil - Where Are You (almost anything by Coil would qualify, really)
Explosions in the Sky - [can't really decide on a specific track, but a lot]
Jarboe - Lavender Girl
Katatonia - Brave/Deadhouse/For Funerals To Come/Chrome
Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven (cliche, I know, but it still has an effect on me)
October Tide - 12 Days of Rain
Paatos - Tea
Portishead - Mysterons
Porcupine Tree - Stop Swimming
Steve von Till - My Work Is Done
Swans - Telepathy/In The Eyes of Nature
The Cure - The Last Day of Summer/One Hundred Years (lots of songs really)
VNV Nation - Carbon
