Dream theater - "Space Dye Vest" was for many years the saddest song I've ever heard until spanish band Mago de Oz released the song "Desde mi Cielo" in the album Gaia II.
Besides that, hope leaves and windowpane must be the saddest opeth songs, and to bid you farewell too.
