I don't know about most beautiful, it certainly is a thing of beauty, but this here is easily my favorite song of all time. this recording of it too.

The only songs that come to mind (as my favorites) are all Nevermore or Opeth as far as what I consider the most "beautiful" or emotive. So uh, I'm going to go pretty mainstream I guess, even though these songs don't suck. If I had to pick just one it would be Sinead easily. Her voice has always been amazing. She also kind of looks like Winona Ryder here...

Hmmm....interesting topic.....right now I'd have to say "The Sparrow" by Mastodon - that guitar solo gives me goosebumps every time I play it and the whole song is a beautiful and mellow ride with a great theme - "pursue happiness with diligence".



If I go back into the vault, it would have to be "Benighted" by Opeth - another mellow song with an emotional guitar solo:

You can never go wrong with Dax. Agents of Oblivion were fantastic and it's a shame they didn't last long. I like his solo stuff but not like Agents. Hangman's Daughter blows my mind every time I hear it.

Also, props for Chris Isaak and Sinead O'Connor. Those are fantastic as well.
