What'sthe worst cover song you've ever heard!!!

Yikes! How could I forget Sound of Silence by everybody's favorite band, Nevermore? I read how the music was not written with the song in mind and that Warrel just threw the lyrics on top one day in rehearsal. That is how all covers should be done -- spontaneously, but with respect for the original intent. Talk about making a song your own...

Yah no shit. Warrel has stated that he doesn't like to just take the music from the original, add distortion, a different sounding guitar, and maybe some solos. He likes to REALLY fuck with it. And it works!

and you're judging the band (who has about 12 or more albums released) by one album? hell, i don't like poets and madmen that much, their newest release, but albums like 'gutter ballet', 'edge of thorns', and 'hall of the mountain king' are all classics that will never be equaled by any band.

neal, neal, neal. . .

Sirens rules. Dungeons Are Calling and Power of the Night are right up there as well.

Damn, I go away for a month and come back to this? :D
