Most of the guys I know that had been endorsed by them say they are 'inconsistent' live. Not really sure what that means but I don't play a different town and different venue every night. They always always told me the most solid tone for them was from a 5150 in a live situation and would use anything that sounded good in the studio. They were endorsed by Krank but used other goods live which isn't uncommon. I think Peavey are solid in general, xxx and 5150 have been kind to me! I also know a lot of people that were on Krank went to Randall after one of the big guys that worked for Krank went to Randall. He pulled a lot of the artists over because he treated everyone great regardless of whether they were Mike Amott or not. I can't remember his name, Murphy or someone probably knows.
His name is Jody Dankberg. He offered me an endorsement deal for my band...He's a nice guy to the artists, but he also was the one responsible for the whole fake review thing on Harmony Central which ended up getting Krank banned from their review section. He also bashed every other amp maker, but praised Krank. Odd now that he went to Randall...As far as I know, he also is financially still involved with Krank (part ownership or something like that).
