how is the worst agalloch your favorite of theirs?

Soundwise, it's the blackest and most organic IMO, so naturally I was attracted to it. I actually never got into the other Agalloch albums until I heard Marrow of the Spirit; after that, it was much easier to get into the folkier sound of The Mantle, the more post sound of Ashes, etc etc.

To this day I still believe Marrow is the best. Every aspect just fucking tickles me.

Most organic? If by organic you mean the most recycled, sure.

It is their worst by a huge margin. It being their "most metal" might be why people here would like it most, but fuck that.

Faustian Echoes is their most metal release thus far (haven't listened to the new album) and it shits on Marrow.

Marrow is the best. Faustian Echoes a close second. To this day I still don't find the others as expressive or visceral. I understand that they have different musical goals, and I dig them, but to nowhere near the same extent.

I've got the exact opposite motto, except on this occasion. I can't really place my finger on why I fill this way either. It's strange.
