The what's going on in Thrash thread

You should have a line of Roos ready to bounce their asses out!

She was awesome in Spartacus.

Tell them the borders are open then once the places take off close them with no warning :) We used to have a deal where no passport was required to come over from NZ and geez did the bastards take the opportunity

I never saw Spartacus. But I think we are waiting on Covid to fuck off for a new series of her current show.

No idea, according to Wiki he's GNR's ex road manager, introduced to the band through West Akeem. Del wrote a short story that November Rain is based on. He's co-written 9 other songs with Testament but most of his co-written appears to be for hard rockish bands

Sounds like our Border with Canada pre 911 although who took advantage of who's border more I'm not sure lol. Probably mutual.

Spartacus was pretty awesome for the first two seasons, especially the first. Then the star died. The scheming and acting of the main players was great, naked chicks and violence like Mortal Kombat. There is unfortunately some nude dudes though. :puke:

I just watched Rat Skates doc Born In The Gutter on amazon Prime. IT's kinda low budget with a couple laughable moments. but overall really good. I learned a lot about them. It is entirely from his view and there are really no guests unfortunately. So who knows if it's completely accurate. But it's really informative and they play a song at the end that I've never heard. His take on where Thrash went to in the late 80's and now does kind of suck and I don't really agree with it but oh well. Oh I've been calling DD (Carlos) and it's really Carlo. Oops.
Rat really did a lot for that band.
P.S. I didn't know Danny Spitz's brother had played bass for Black Sabbath.

I've got a mate who took advantage of the lack of border control from NZ. He came here way back in the 90's, married and had kids, never went back home, never voted in NZ, never did anything. Then when is Mum died about 20 years ago he couldn't go back for the funeral because he would have been arrested for more than 20 years of tax avoidance. He'd paid tax here, which was nice of him but his own country didn't see it as nice. :) I'm not sure how many Aussies did the same but a lot of Kiwi's did before they changed the rules.

Xena's a pretty woman she doesn't get too bare much skin in a cop show, but she doesn't need too...shit I must be getting old :)

I might have too look that up. I haven't heard about it until now.
It's been DD so long I think even Calro has forgotten whether he needs an s on his name!
I didn't know about Danny's brother either, but those two BS albums were perhaps the least interesting BS albums in history :)

New Vadar is out today too apparently. This one has completely slipped me by, I don't even remember seeing anything mentioned on it. Going to preview both Vader and Havok on whatever platform I can before deciding if I want to buy.

I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, too much home schooling. The teachers are getting shitty when us substitute teachers don't do enough, then they accuse us of doing the fucking work for the kids. Half the teachers want the kids on the computer to get their work, then want them to write it all down in a book and parents to take a photo of it to prove it's the kids writing/drawing. I'm offended they think my kids are not up to the work they are sending so I've gone full retard.

I just spent 30 mins making a table with shaded boxes and multiple colours, borders and fancy text that kind of looks like a colourful crossword layout, so my daughter could input some numbers and look like the tables the teacher photocopied out of books (honestly it would have been easier to scan the image). The other day I got my youngest to cut and paste diagram of animals from google, colour them and label them all in Photoshop then paste them into her portfolio. The best thing is I didn't have to show her how to do any of it, I just helped her with the smaller sections that needed colour and the actual colour to use.

However the best one we've got this week is the eldest's teacher saying that using computers for sums is okay as long as the kids show their workings. My eldest is heading to high school next year an she's expected to show her workings for sums like 10x0 and 0x0. I reckon she deserves an award if she can figure out how to do that!
