The what's going on in Thrash thread

Yup, national holiday, paid day off for most if it's on a weekday.

These days it's a bit different here, pretty much everything is open on public holidays, but 34 years ago I don't even think supermarkets opened on a public holiday so F&J wouldn't have sold their new album on our national day.

I just extended the light on the auto garage door from the motor to a better location, pretty simple job, two wires, colour coded, can't really fuck it up. Therefore I couldn't figure out why it didn't work when I was finished. Apparently one should always check the globe they put in a light socket to make sure it's not blown!

Lol, doh! That kind of stuff always makes me think of Christmas Vacation with the Xmas lights.

I felt a bit like Clark Griswold when I pulled another three globes out of my box of globes and they were all blown too. At least I didn't put them in the socket and wonder why they weren't working before I checked them :)

Clark was the biggest turkey :)
Randy Quaid played a bad role really well in those movies. Imagine being Cousin Eddie in real life.

I used to watch it quite often, I even watched the more recent version with Kelly Bundy...sorry BECAUSE of Kelly Bundy, but I don't watch it as often these day.

They've done some brilliantly stupid movies over the the years, but Animal House was the one that I returned too many times when I was younger. I always love John Belushi and although he didn't make many movies those he did make before he died were great.

I haven't watched this yet, and not sure I can be bothered, but here it is straight from Facebook.

Edit: I just watched it, it's 2:30 minutes, part 1 of 6 and although it reveals 1 thing I didn't know I don't feel any better or worse for watching it.

Now where's my new album?

Cool, I always like to see old footage. So what was the one thing you learned?
