They've had some shots on FB, but not for a few days. I wonder if they all went mad and shot each other!

I hope they are well away from the fires. I don't see how they can be. California's fires are as big as my state now!

I agree they are better off. And you can't blame them for wanting to write their own stuff, I'd prefer to write my own stuff than be little more than a session muso called on to play someone elses music. Of course I don't have record labels ready to sign me up as a solo project or for the band I haven't yet created, but still I know what I'd rather.

Although it's not like comparing them to me is a fair comparison because I'd have been kicked out of Megadeth years ago. I'd be too much like Nick was and instead of stepping on egg shells around Dave, instead of not playing jokes on Dave and instead of being a good little boy, I'd have been a bastard just to see how much of a rise I could get out of the guy.

I agree on all fronts lol. Man at some point I would have pushed every button he had lol.

I can't fault them either. They must have saved a good chunk of money to be able to make that decision. Or Dave was just really bad. But Chris and what's his face have never said anything other than they wanted to write.

We've stopped hearing about those fires now. We sent a bunch of fire fighters over but very little gets mentioned about it.
Someone from the Exodus camp is posting hockey jerseys and hats on FB so I'd assume that if something had happened to the boys they wouldn't be posting.

Everything is based on contracts these days, even Dave says he has a contract with two different labels for two different length albums, so maybe it was contact driven and both sides were happy not to renew contracts

Yeah that doesn't surprise me. It's definitely still going! There's 19 thousand firefighters in California alone with something like 7 thousand fires. Then there's still Oregon and Washington and whoever else.

We still get the odd story now about the recovery process but largely communities are on their own.

The silly thing about Dave saying that is that one day he might mean every word of it, the next he completely back flips and says something else. I'm not saying he wasn't blindsided but at the same time I'm sure given the chance he'll say the opposite if it suited him.

Nick admits he did a lot of it for fun, but he also admits that once he got clean he saw it for what it was, being a bastard because he was told not to do it in the first place.

Sigh. Another sign of the times and how good reporting is these days. However while I agree with Gene that who he votes for is his choice and doesn't need to be shared the points have to go to the commentor who claims he wont vote for either Trump or Biden but instead add a #3 to the list and put his own name on the ballot.
