The what's going on in Thrash thread

I'm pretty sure that black and white shoot has produced a number of head shots for Blabber. From the same shoot there is one of Snr with the stubbled growth where he looks like my old neighbour so ever time I see it I'm reminded of that. But I think there is several of Jnr and one has a real corny dumbarse look. However you're right, they know how to use them, the photo in front of the bass amps with the growly bared teeth look just wouldn't suit a story about someone who had 'adult interactions on the web with someone other than his wife"
Lol. Byy goofy photo do you mean the one where he's sitting in front of the mixing board with a denim jacket on and his hair looks all hippyish? Oh and the hayseed look lol.

Which songs are theirs?

Dan co-wrote everything on FOM and Walls co-wrote all but the last two. However back then the entire band was credited with songs not just one or two people. From STD to Stomp those albums were pretty much all credited to the whole band not individuals. It wasn't until Stomp that Chuckles was first listed as the sole music writer.

I also agree that FOM didn't have their best tracks on it

Yeah and it looks like he just sucked a lemon!

"The next logical step", well that's a new description none of the other cool kids are using I hope he copyrights it :)

Given that there are bands like Flotz putting albums together I'm a bit surprised to hear Blitz say Peter Pandemic (I love that name) is keeping them apart. How different are things in the US now? We hear about all the vaccinations and we hear everything Biden says into a microphone but from the outside it appears if one band can get together and make an album while another band can't then there is areas of the US still struggling with getting back to whatever normal might be.
Lol Blitz is always good for a laugh.

I can only think of two things. The interview is a little old? Or where he lives was a lot crazier with the virus. I know that was true with NYC not sure about Jersey. NY And Jersey are much more built up than a lot of places. Things are getting and have gotten much better though. Numbers are dropping, a lot of people have been vaccinated.
Oh and Arizona never had the restrictions like the east coast here.
You know it had to be pretty serious if Overkill is behind schedule lol. They crank out the albums. And Blitz had to be extra careful because he is in a high risk bracket. Is this disjointed? lol.

Everything about Peter Pandemic is disjointed :)
We've had pockets of the country better than others too but our vax role out is fucking woeful. Of course we are lucky we are surrounded by sea and can close our borders, if we'd left them open like the US did we'd have been fucked completely. Different states opened up at different times but in pretty much all states except for the short 3-5 days shutdowns when the virus escaped hotel quarantine a band could have gotten themselves together in any studio from about Christmas. Touring has been a little harder but gigs have still be happening. But we don't hear anything other than how good the vax roll out in in the US or when shit hits the fan, nothing in between.

We've got so much of the vaccine now... even before the demand started going down that we're giving it to a lot of other countries. Hell you can now just walk into some grocery stores and get vaccinated.

Our government fucked up and put too much faith in only 1 version. By the time they got Pfizer on the cards AZ was known to cause blood clots and when all they had to offer people was AZ people started shying away. We had a mix of bad governance and complacent people who stopped seeing the virus as such a threat because we had so little of it in the country. Low numbers of virus is obviously good but it gave people the chance to scream "keep the borders shut and get a different vax". The result is now that we have millions of doses of AZ, even after giving millions to Papua New Ginea, and people refusing to take it because the risk of clotting is 1 in 150,000 or something. The government is promising more of the other vaccines but not until 2022 and currently unless your sick (or in aboriginal communities) if your under 60 you still can't get any jab at all.

Holy crap. We just started people under 12 a little bit ago. That really sucks. There's a lot of people under 60!

Our roll out was screwed from the start, they promised 3 million vaccinated by the end of April, the got less than 230,000. Then they promised all over 60's, sick people and nurses etc would be done by June and the rest of the country by October. Then it went to first dose by October, now it's front line workers, oldies and sick people by October and the Pfizer jab to start arriving in November. Many 'experts' claimed Australia did so well in managing the virus but they aren't praising us now :)

Hell, the guy is a tank!

Shit yeah. I hope he can do it. Not only would it be a huge boost for the fans but it would be a massive boost for him to be able to do it.

Speaking of tanks hopefully our tank (?) is heading home from hospital soon too.

Yeah I hope he’ll be able to check in here sometime this week. :headbang:

You’re right. This could be a big thing for Tom. I bet he doesn’t miss a beat ;)

There is a lot of people who suggests governments in power during covid have a great chance are retaining their governance when elections are held. New Zealand pretty much followed this as have a few other nations. It appears the same will happen here even though the vax roll out is so bad. People seem to forget the bad and remember the good when they vote, yet if you get 100 people online wanting to talk about just about any other topic you'll get 95 of them talk about it negatively and say they want nothing to do with it. People are strange.

We'll have to start a ring around of all the hospitals if he doesn't...how many hospitals in America? :)

I'd imagine he wouldn't be doing it if he wasn't feeling fit enough himself but I still think it's a huge effort and I hope he doesn't miss a beat.
