And all there is to see is them savaging him and not letting it go. They are partially to blame for this, of course Mustaine doesn't want a laughing stock in the band, who does? Half of them are blaming cancel culture. But this isn't viral, the rest of the world doesn't care. It's just them.

I just feel so bad for Jnr. All his fucking work. This will now effect everything. Years down the drain.
Fuck the piece of shit who leaked this.

Some of my response is based solely on what we know. Mustaine may very well know more.
And of course Jnr is guilty of digital infidelity. But that should be between him and his wife

By the way. What does Mustaine mean by an already strained relationship? I've heard nothing but praise for their brotherhood. And Jnr basically being the face of Megadeth.
I wonder if we'll start to hear a lot of dirt.

Sadly I don't think Snr is listening. He's made his 'captain's call' and doesn't care.

I totally agree that it's the metal community that fucked this up, however since when has Dave run his band based on social media opinions. Fuck the guy himself has been the point of conversation for so many controversial things over the years that sacking anyone for it seems hypocritical.

It really does make me wonder if Snr has had some other gripe with Jnr, especially given the 'strained relationship' comment, and this is the icing on the cake. The cynic in me might go even further and suggest this is Dave's way of delaying the album he knows he's not actually ready to put on sale as he has promised.

We know Snr is not adverse to changing his story to suit himself, pretty much everyone who has left Megadeth admits there is the real reason and Dave's reason. I actually wanted Jnr to be sacked after he said the new album without the vocals sounded like a Prog Metal album, so yeah maybe he's said a few wrong things, but you're right there was a brotherhood from what we were told and you don't sack your brother because he made a home video.

Yeah idk how much online would sway his opinion. Maybe it creeped out Elektra.
I think one thing we can count on with Mustaine now that you've brought it up is that he is very hypocritical from time to time.
Now get Megadeth's FB and tell them to get Greg!

Maybe I'm not a cynic maybe I'm just spit balling ideas for Snr :P

At very least I think we have to expect a delay of 6 months or so on the album. If Jnr is as poisonous as Snr is saying then they can't possibly release the album with any of his input. Although what if the label are pushing for something that is not ready so today they say bye bye Jnr, keep working especially since Snr said the majority of what is left is up to him, then when the smoke clears in a few months and the masses have spoken for Jnr's return a new announcement is made?

FB is too busy with calls for Newstead for Dave to see one comment about Greg.

Oh, well the swearing and topic just to be edgy was definitely in Dan's wheelhouse.
Although maybe they idea of it had been aired and that was one of the reasons Dan was kicked out, he didn't want to toe the line down to such a shitty song.

Yeah it's going to be tough selling the album without him on it and lets face it the albums without Jnr were not Megadeth's best (although him missing was not the only reason for that).

Fucking hell!! I just went to Megadeth's wiki and Jnr's already been removed from the current members list but what was even more disturbing was that one of the current gossip TV channels here (aimed at stay home mums with nothing better to do than watch Ellen) is reporting that "heavy metal" band Megadeth have sacked their bass player because of sexual misconduct and grooming allegations. No fucking mention that the allegations of grooming have been refuted just that he's been sacked because of it and the article finishes with "call this number if you're a victim of this sort of thing". Fucking gossip whores wouldn't even know who Megadeth was but because we apparently have an epidemic of violence against women in this country this sort of shit makes the tabloid news feeds. Fuck the truth, fuck the facts, word it right and it creates yet another tabloid headline to feed the masses. I can just imagine some wanna be Tipper Gore helicopter mum sitting at home hearing that news and rushing in to tell her kid that they can't listen to Megadeth any more.

Haha, I would never even think of Tom for any sort of bass duties. That shits more buried than Newstead on Justice.

I'm definitely less interested if Jnr isn't on the album. Unless they get someone really great. And can make their bass sound like Jnr's.

God dude. Bunch of vultures huh? Why can't people use their time for good? If all these people who can't mind their own business along with the ones who make every little thing sound like there's some widespread hatred toward whoever they are into this week used that energy positively they could probably do some real good in the world. Rhino's still need saving!

Whether Tom could do the job or not I can't see him getting along with Dave :)

The problem is that more instagram posts have come out that paint Jnr in a bad light so the mainstream media now have bait. Once again nothing is proven but these fucking vultures don't care it's much more important to look like they support a cause than it is to throw yet another male under a bus. Save the Rhinos so they can stampede through the media hubs where these shitty stories fester :)

I asked Michael Gilbert about that. He said the label is the one who just put the song out there. But the real push was going to be when they officially release it with a video.
