The what's going on in Thrash thread

Well it's definitely not a KISS song :)
Apparently the song originally turned up on Black Metal, their second album, which I have on cassette but obviously don't know too well.
As far as this version goes I don't mind it, not sure I'd buy it but I'll listen to it.
In parts you can really hear Daddy Zet in Cody's voice.

Was just having a look at that website Neptune linked to ages ago with demos and EPS etc and found someone with a link for Exodus' 83 demo. I remember saying a while ago about how the fools that run that site hate conversation and hate being told when they have a track listing wrong and they've proven it again. The first post on the Exodus demo lists the song Ender. Someone points out that it's actually Endor as confirmed by discogs.com, (and also confirmed by Metal Archives and other sources). Then one of the main moderators responds with "yeah it's hard to know. The only way to know would be to ask Gary." The end result is that they don't change the tracklising.

Yeah I haven't found anything decent there for ages. I did get some Exodus demos and lives and some Flotz stuff but a lot of the stuff is poor quality and I can't be stuffed downloading poor quality stuff, especially live stuff when there is other options out there. I do log on every few days to see if there is anything new but most of what I see is just bitching about people not offering them praise. The 'news' section of the site is rarely up to date and people don't talk about new stuff they just post videos. But their arrogance about never changing spelling or song orders despite having evidence is fucking amazing.

Yeah I pretty much try and hunt down ep’s containing b-sides and some old stuff I used to have. I hear ya about the live audio quality not great but some are almost listenable.That arrogant shit is for the birds!

There was that other live site I posted here a while ago that is much better for live gigs. Not only did it have more but it listed their quality, 1 being crap and 10 being sound board. I see no reason to stuff around with sites like HMR and their bad quality stuff when there is sites like that around unless it's something very very rare.

Having said that I did get the RIP masters tape with all the separate instrument tracks and the Preproduction No Place For Disgrace files from HMR so there is value to some of what they have.

Brace For Impact looks a bit lacking in details. I'm sure the idea is something along the lines of Flotz coming out of the water to fight but it lacks vibrancy and depth too me. Blood In The Water looks a bit better and probably the one I'd choose, but the water doesn't look bloody, it looks too orange.

I'm hoping the local guy who gets shirts in (used to be the guitarist in Western Australian thrash band Allegiance) gets these in stock to save me from international postage. He got Chaos shirts in just after the release but after they sold out he didn't order any more, I'm hoping that's what he does this time and I'll get in quicker.

Damn how can you not order more of something that sold out?! I hope he gets the new ones for you. I agree about these shirts here.

I like it, mostly. He does sound a lot like Zetro.

I didn't realise Jason was suffering from headbanging-itis. Maybe that does or doesn't explain why he's playing that Chophouse blues stuff but seeing the way he used to move on the stage for Metallica I'm not surprised he doesn't want to play metal.

I can't believe people thought that would happen lol. I think this guy is a little bit of a douche but Rex from Pantera would be a good choice I think.

He does take requests but because of shipping costs he wouldn't bother ordering one Flotz shirt he'd wait until he's got enough to make postage worth while. As a single buyer it would cost him as much to import a shirt as me therefore he'd either make no money or he'd have to charge more so it's either order and wait or pay more. The high cost of shipping has killed a lot of small businesses here in the last 18 months. What I'm hoping is that with the release of the album there is not just people who want Flotz stuff but want other stuff from the label, then it makes his order worth while and the shirt will drop from about $75 to less than $25.

Yeah even if Jason was stage fit I think he's happy doing what he is and doesn't give a shit about metal these days. Megadeth might have been a good pay cheque for him but he's said plenty of times he doesn't need it.

Hasn't Rex been canned by just about everyone recently for being a prick and releasing a book of bullshit or was that someone else? I thought I remembered reading headlines about Rex being on the nose....then again maybe that makes him perfect for Megadeth :)

Get one of those dayglo yellow work shirts for walking apparently when you wear those you become bullet proof and you'll never get hit...well that's what people here seemed to think when they wear one!
