Yeah it's strange how in this day and age where shit really isn't built to last that some things just defy the odds. It's always a good feeling to have something last.

My aggravation level has dropped now, one school is at least helping and the other school I've decided I'll just keep ignoring like they ignore common sense.

We were looking at a new washing machine a few weeks back and the number of sales men who told us that our 24 year old washing machine is better built than current machines and we'll be lucky to get the 10 year warranty out of most is astounding. I thought these people were there to sell products not tell us how crap they are!

FARK ME! Home schooling sucks!
My eldest's high school is marking her as absent because when she logged on to the classroom chat program she didn't specifically type "Hello <teachers name>" whilst all the kids were chatting. Lucky her form teacher isn't stupid and is messaging all the kids and parents to find out what is going on, otherwise I was nearly on my way down the to school to tear them a new arsehole!
Meanwhile the youngest's school hasn't even sent us work for her to do and it's the second day of home schooling. They've just updated the messages on the web system to tell us we should all be lobbing down to the school to pick up printed 'work packs' for the kids to complete. So with industry shut, shitloads of people working from home, only essential services open and the rest of us locked down, they expect us to go and line up at the fucking school gate and pick up printed work packs, which they have said wont be marked anyway.

Added to a great Monday morning, the hot water service shit itself last night and I'm waiting for a plumber to come and install a new one!

Damn man, what the hell is going on over there? Have those people been running schools very long? Lol.
Man that all sucks!

It's so fucking strange, I know they are primary school kids so the teachers can get away with being a bit slack, but to have nothing but photocopied sheets they don't even have to hand in is fucking atrocious. But the irony of being in lockdown because of a contagious virus and being told to come down to the school and line up at the gate with other people to get school work when every other school is doing shit online is just beyond belief.

I always find it interesting when a band can make a whole other bands out of ex-members. Iced Earth did this with Unearthed.

3 of the guys I was with made another band about 5 years after we broke up, the drummer lasted a week before going back to his original band, the guitarist lasted 6 months, and the bass player is still claiming the band is together nearly 20 years on

Some mildly interesting German Thrash metal with Bruce Dickinson singing....well it's not Bruce but he does kind of sound like you'd expect Bruce to sing thrash.

It's so fucking strange, I know they are primary school kids so the teachers can get away with being a bit slack, but to have nothing but photocopied sheets they don't even have to hand in is fucking atrocious. To play devil's advocate for second. This could very well be happening here and I would have no idea lol. But all the stories of them we get from you it really does seem like their heads are up there asses on a regular basis lol.

I always find it interesting when a band can make a whole other bands out of ex-members. Iced Earth did this with Unearthed.

He only filled in on the tour when AK briefly left the band. And then they realized it wasn't so great. I wouldn't call that an ex-member.

If this school hadn't done online learning last year when we spent 3 months in lockdown I'd probably give them a little more leeway, but they have an entire online system set up, it's not perfect but it's there. They even use Google Docs in the classroom and every kid has their own email account so as long as they have a computer they can log on anywhere in the world and share docs with the teacher. Yet for some reason this lockdown it's all printed hand outs. It just doesn't make sense.

I was grumpy about it yesterday, but now it's just frustrating.

I probably shouldn't complain. I rang a tradesman at 7:30am, they were on site 2 hours before promised, they fixed what I needed fixed, they took away their rubbish and the old unit, and they were polite.
