The what's going on in Thrash thread

WinRar is a free program that uncompresses. If you get it from the WInRar website there is no bugs and it technically never expires because you can just say no to the annoying pop up when it loads. If you double click on the file it should open in WinRar then you just Click on the folder to see the files. Then highlight the 4 songs and go to EXTRACT and choose a location. The files will uncompress in that location.

You can uncompress all the files but you wont have any need for the ones that aren't numbered 1-4

Go to download (not purchase) it's a 40 day trail version but it technically never expires, I'm on day 230 of my 40 day trial.

There is a download button on the main page (under the buy now) Click that
Then on the next page click on the download button again and it should prompt you to start downloading. You don't need to add your email address or anything.

Listening to The Snair now, very early sounding material but it’s 1988 so but it’s pretty damn good!Listening to this really does show how great and strong Mike’s voice was so distinct. When I listen to this it just rips me apart to know he’s no longer with us anymore!Only complaint is the output of the solos are a bit buried.Oh and the Priest cover is pretty spot on Thanks again Slammed :headbang:

Oh cool, that is where I went. Nice to know it's the right place. It did prompt me to download. But behind it it was showing all these steps. So I didn't do it lol. But now I will.

It's definitely a sign of the time. It's got a true 80's sound to it but Mike's vocals just overpower the whole thing. I can forgive the music and solos not quite being there just because of Mike's vocals. Without those vocals I can see why Snair never made it past the demo stage.

Exactly. I wasn't a big fan of the drums In The Arms Of God. Stanton is a good drummer I guess. But a metal pounder he is not!

It's a shitty situation. Change a player, change the sound, change the fan base. But if they don't change the band risks ending. There are bands in history who should have ended instead of changing but as fans we kind of want both. Is it our fault and we put too much pressure on the bands we like? :)
Blame shifting :)

Overall I'd say COC really beat the odds a lot. I like most of their stuff. Whether it's the 3 piece version. The line up on Blind or Pepper on vocals. But I think In The Arms Of God really shows what you mean. I like the album a lot. The songs are great. But that drummer change really shows. The album would have crushed with Reed or even just a metal drummer on it.
