The what's going on in Thrash thread

Yeah its getting stupid now. No one is waiting for a big reveal, or some sort of huge press conference just to hear the news. I think even Dave knows that the second he reveals the name no matter who it is the spot light is no longer on him. It could be a no name from the music counter at Walmart but the conversation will be about 'can he do it', 'is he better than Jnr', etc etc. Dave gets fuck all credit for selecting the guy (or gal maybe), he only cops shit if it's the wrong choice. It's no wonder he wont name the person :)

I'm interested to see where this goes, it doesn't worry me I'm vaxed but I'm not sure they are going to bring it to the world. We've had our government saying similar for ages, but the law suggests they can't legally do it. We've only just had our first large food company mandate all workers, contractors and on site visitors get jabbed by November or no entry and the workers unions (that group of highly paid fat cats that just stir up shit when it suits them) are already trying to figure out whether to fight it. The government is sitting back and saying "lets see how it works for them before we do anything". Certain parts of the unions are saying they'll fight it, while other parts are saying they agree with it.

A number of larger venues and promoters have suggested it will go this way and we do get both printable and digital vax passes that we could show to gain entry to such places but the laws don't seem to fit just yet. Interestingly enough we have what they call a 'no jab no play' rule for kids where if a child is not fully vaxed with the jabs deemed kid worthy (I can't remember them all but it's shit like rubella and chicken pox) they aren't allowed to go to the same schools as vaxed kids. But to apply similar rules to adults would mean major changes that the government are not willing to make especially given there is an election next year.

I'm interested in how it will work to. I'm sure the complainers are out in full force.

I personally don't care how gigs are handled. Live Nation only care about themselves and their massive profits so they'll be trying hard to claw back what they have lost. But I'm not sure society as a whole can't handle such things, look what happens when we have lock downs, or mask rules enforced, a certain group of people go feral just to break rules. Those people will still exist in a post vaxed world.

Oh yeah. Whatever they do you can be sure it's in their best interest.

Why can't these people work in my best interest? Inconsiderate bastards!

Meanwhile I make more work for myself with every new job. What started as a simple clean up the office which has needed doing for 12 months has now turned into "how can I get a ladder in the manhole and store it in the roof" it needs to be one of those attic type ladders that drops down from the roof, but I don't have the space for one of those so I have to make my own.

I feel the pain. We just have to use a regular ladder and it really sucks! Good luck with making your own!

Mine wont be anywhere as elaborate as the ones that can be bought and it's going up the roof in one piece via pulleys. But it's going to take me the best part of two days to clean up the office so I can start work. And all this started because I couldn't get to my bench to make some new lights.

Lol I hate when a project creates a whole new project.

Yeah the trouble these days is that it seems to happen every damn time I start something. In cleaning up and moving shit around yesterday I found some timber which apparently now wants to be made into a Lego box for all the spare Lego my daughter has.

Man he's looking really rough. Never mind, give him all the fries. Force feed him if need be. He looks like he's going to blow away.

I was watching a music show last night and they played Sweating Bullets. He does look a lot younger then and his hair was a lot more red, but although Marty, Nick and Jnr do get some screen time most of the shots are of Dave in a closed room talking to himself and himself and himself and himself. Led me to think I know who the new line up is :)
