The what's going on in Thrash thread

My new question is. If he won't get vaccinated. Who the hell does he think he's going to tour with? I'm sure you can forget anything with Testament or anyone on that bill. Chuck and Will and the rest of them know it's no joke. Most places here require it and more will I'm sure. Look at what happened to Flotsam. Not to mention going to other countries. So they may as well just release their ep lol.

I'd rather them just focus on new music than shows anyway. And that goes for every band. How many years do they think they have left to still play aggressive music at a high level? Slayer has already packed it in. You'd have to at least replace your drummer to carry on, and then you'll probably have that crappy thin/triggered sound that all the kids think sounds so great.

I like the intro very traditional and the vocals sound a little bit like Mustaine and I can’t put my finger on it!

Yeah there is something there. The 80's vibe is definitely there and while not the fastest thrash it's got something. For a first release it's not a bad effort.

Don’t know if any of you have seen this yet?!

I've been ignoring everything MegaDave lately. I made a pact with myself about a month ago that I'm doing nothing but hanging shit on Anthrax and MegaDave until they release albums. Both bands were once first day buyers for me but this album is there last chance, I'll preview it but wont buy it unless I decide it's worth it.

While that's true for some bands it's not for many others. Plenty of guys playing into their 60's and still doing it well. Sure bands like Maiden and JP have people crapping on their latest efforts saying they are too old, can't play like they used to, all sorts of shit. But people are fucking whingers and negativity is the go to response of too many people these days.

Rob's stage voice last week at JP's show was fucking amazing for a guy of his age. Even if people want to hate on the new Maiden album nothing can take away from the fact that a bunch of 55+ yr olds are out there ready to play 90 min sets. Slayer only packed it in because of Tom's ongoing issues, the same guys may not ever tour to the extent of their final tour again but Kerry will definitely be back doing something and Gary is already planning big things. Bands like Testament, Flotz, Helloween, Doro, Overkill, they are all aging but they all still putting on brilliant shows, whether it's giving it all pounding out aggressive beats, or just pounding the stage and putting in 110% for the fans, live music is far from dead just because some of the old timers have reached a magic number in their age.

Well I know our government is talking big about banning non vaccinated people into the country but the problem is our government are also allowing fuck wit celebrities (Katlyn Jenner for fucks sake!) into this country without care of her vax status and while she admits to making a fucking joke of our quarantine system. Although as a little known thrash band I'd reckon Sean would get denied without a vaccine.
I think they'll find a lot of closed doors.
