I know pretty much everywhere expect the Anthrax section of this forum the band, especially Scott and Charlie are thought of as money grabbing shits and people who don't treat others very well but I was just reading a post over on MA forum which would make those guys in the Anthrax threads here shit themselves silly.
Greg Walls not being given credit for song writing
Greg turning up at Scott Ian meet and greets and trying to get Scott to talk to him but Scott ignoring him.
Benate's name on Metal Thrashing Mad but the song was written before he joined the band
Billy Milano (who is a douchebag) suggesting Charlie quit SOD because he saw Billy talking to Lombardo
Scott was a spoiled rich kid in the 80's who just brought new gear to show off and used people to get what he wanted.
There is also confirmed stuff like the shit they have spoken about Dan, the way they treated Joey, the way they treated Danny, the way they sucked up to Joey to get him back
I feel sorry for those poor saps that think the sun shines out of Scott's arse, but I'm starting to wonder now if Mustaine really is the biggest cunt in thrash!

You don't give Mustaine the musical credit that he deserves.
A lot of these "nice guys" would've gone nowhere if it wasn't for all these talented "jerks" who created successful bands for them to be a part of.
To me, Anthrax are phonies and jerks without even a fraction of the talent Mustaine had. I still contend that they would've written better music if they hadn't kicked Lilker out of the band. If you're taking score of who the jerks are, you should probably count that Benante was running around cheating on his pregnant wife. Can anyone say this about Mustaine?
Anthrax have very few good original ideas. Milano said it best about how they chase trends. It's desperate and sad. It says a lot how many cover songs they still have in their live set. The Bush years were mostly a financial disaster. Even Judas Priest did better with a tribute band singer on board.
Another interesting footnote. The lyric from one of the songs Anthrax chose to cover: "Farrakhan is a prophet and I think you outta listen to what he can say to you". Farrakhan is a well-known, blatant anti-Semite. Scott either is too stupid to be aware of this fact or too desperate to kiss up to Public Enemy to care that he is praising someone who hates his race. For a guy who has a lot to say about racism over the decades, this is a glaring omission to say the least. It's hard to take anything Scott does or says seriously.
I don't want these bands to be my best friends, I just want them to entertain me.

I do agree with Dino that it's free advertising and Chris' opinion on CC doesn't mean much now days, but that's about where I stop agreeing.

Realistically how many people who have that sort of Kardasian mentality do they think they're going to pull in from it? In some ways I think Chris Barnes was trying to validate himself given how little publicity he gets since leaving CC, but at the same time no one tries to validate themselves more than Dino. Dino is always going to be the guy at the back of the crowd jumping up and down with his hand in the air screaming "look at me, look at me" while no one seems to hear him.
