The what's going on in Thrash thread

I'll give them credit for making an album that sold millions, it was a breakthrough album and it might even deserve the accolades it gets. But there is not an album in the world by anyone that needs to be re-released with multiple cover versions of each and every song on it.
I liked it when it came out. Not as much as previous albums obviously. But I liked it. I hadn't listened to it since the 90's though. I tried maybe two years ago. I find it to be at least half filler.

I can still listen to it, not often but I can still do it. However I also think Metallica have gone way over the top with all the anniversary albums. This idea of pumping 10 discs for a single album might make the album look popular on paper but in reality it's ridiculous. I also think it encourages piracy. No one but the richest of fans can afford to fork out $200+ for a 'special' version of each album.

Hell yeah! Me Too! I wonder if he'll restart Suicide Shift. Not sure if that was one word or two. He was talking about before the reunion and it just kind of disappeared.

I'd love to hear what sort of vocal range the guy has.
What was Suicide Shift?

I don't think I can bring myself to click on the story :tickled:

It's part of a bigger story on another website. But the Blabber part is basically just Randy speaking his mind and suggesting Ozzy and particularly Sharon aren't as bad as the media and others make out. He also suggests that if a guy did what Sharon did in the music industry they be called a ground breaker, which might not be the exact words but he's got a point. Sharon's father was called all sorts of names but never the names she was called. Basically it's Randy's thoughts, but everyone on Blabber says he's wrong.

Suicide Shift was his almost project years ago. It got talked about a good bit. But then it never really happened. I was really excited for it. Then I think we got DDP. But I'm pretty sure Suicide Shift was just Chuck on vocals.

Oh okay, well by the sounds of it what Chuck wants to do now is not one band but different guitarists and different music.
