Seems Jnr remembers the 5 shows a bit more fondly than Kerry does.
Seeing Dave without the V is almost off putting
I watched this a few years ago thinking it was going to be bad. but they sound good if I remember right? Yeah Dave needs that V lol. Maybe Gar sold it for drugs

I LOVE this era of the band!
Lee Rauch sounded great on drums, probably more aggressive than Gar, and within a year of being fired from Metallica Dave had 3 albums worth of great songs already written!

It's actually quite good sound but average footage, which is a sign of what camera technology was back then. I doubt it was a pro recording with a full range of high end gear and cameras just weren't as good as picking up flashing lights then as they are now. The sound however almost seems like it's straight off the desk. It was mostly a single focused camera angle too, only a few times did it pan out for the whole stage so Kerry could nearly have been anyone for the most part of the video, so could Jnr for that matter.
I notice Dave's guitar did have the V shape in it so it appears he was always destined to have a V somewhere.

It was a prolific time for all those bands though. A time where they were not just establishing themselves but also desperate to make money and a career. I can't help thinking that many of the bands out of that time lost something when they did break through and money became so much easier to get. I'm not suggesting they don't deserve it or shouldn't have it but when they were singing for their supper, so to speak, the output seemed to have more power and passion behind it.

Unreleased album from Armoros, Canadian thrash metal band led by guitarist Jed Simon who went on to play with Zimmer's Hole, Devin Townsend, SYL and Tenet. Apparently the album was released in 08 as a compilation of some sort but this is the original which was recorded in 88. I haven't listened to it all yet but fuck it's got all the hallmarks of brilliant 80's thrash.

Yeah I'm thinking the same thing. I know Gary's had a long time to work on this album so he's had time to get it right, but I hope Zetro is not over selling it.

From what I've listened to it is really good for old school thrash. I'm going to try and hunt out a bit more about the the band but from the brief look I've had there is not much available. Even the two compilations that are only 12 and 13 years old look like they might be difficult to get.
