The what's going on in Thrash thread

If I'm reading NB's website correctly it's available to order now and there is no "pre-order" listed anywhere so maybe it's out this week too.

I didn't go through the full order process at NB's site because it wanted me to sign up but it does appear to be officially released. Jut doesn't seem to be listed on any of the sites. However maybe that's because it's an anniversary, I have no idea.

I was at the local record shop earlier (because my missus has gone fucking crazy buying a shitload of Nintendo switch stuff) and I was looking at the new Metallica Symphony 4 LP box set, not because I was interested but because I knew it would be expensive and wanted to laugh at the price....yes I am easily amused.

However the laughter was not at all warranted because for 4 marble coloured LPs, a 16 page booklet and an MP3 download card they are offering the bargain basement price of $194.99!!!

Anyone want me to order one and send it on?

There was a few LPs for $35, which I still object too but $200 for LP's when the double CD (which I think has the same songs on it) is only about $30 is just a fucking rip off I don't care if the disc is coloured.

I went out to pick the kids up from school and get a parcel, was out about an hour and in that time DA have dropped 3 posts on FB about the new EP. So it's obviously official but they either forgot to post it was due or they forgot that a large part of the world comes into Friday (release day) before they do.

I understand EP's aren't huge news these days but you'd reckon someone who have let the fans know to expect something. :)

I listened to the new Wreck-Defy last night. It was only one listen but overall I'd say it's a more solid release than the single we heard a few weeks back. Seems the lyrics are angry and pissed off, not sure if there is a specific target to the insults but there is a theme. The music is heavy and in some parts fast. It's not going to break the world and I'm not sure if I'll buy it yet but it's worth a listen.

I was also listening to Heathen again yesterday. I am still struggling with the vocals, for the most, as redfly says, they sound too much like Disturbed. But there is some really cool tunes and decent drumming behind some of those vocals. The middle of the album is a bit weak but if one could amp those vocals up I think the album would lift a few points.
