Yeah thanks! I wouldn't have thought of that because I have it set to not keep any history once I close out. I thought the cache was part of that.

I think it's time Jnr left is nose out of the media and interviews and concentrated on the band that makes him money.

Nah by default cache remains to make page loading faster and keep track of things like passwords etc. The problem is that if todays cache is corrupted for whatever reason it often needs to be cleaned out to stop the browser going back to the corrupt settings.

The OP doesn't want to cancel Slayer but seems to be greatly offended by the songs Angel Of Death and Jihad. Not to mention Tom's wife being a bit of a space cadet with her Twitter posts. There is even people on there talking about how scary it would be to visit Jeff's (and Lemmy's) house because of the memorabilia they chose to keep. Apart from the tangent several go off on about Nergal and his ways it's some of the best shit I've read it a long time. The OP says the idea of thread was discussion but it really does seem like they are all just finding different reasons to hate things Slayer did 30 years ago.

Yeah that forum has quite a few wankers who talk like that. I'm sure they do it to try and express some kind of superiority in the opening post possibly to try and convince people they should be agreed with. The dude seems to want other people to give him justification for thinking the way he does.

At one point I thought it was going to turn into a "Lombardo is the best thing to happen to Slayer and the rest of the band are dicks" thread because there is one guy there who claims to know Dave and claims to know intimate details about the bands finances and surprise surprise thinks Dave was the innocent victim in the divide that split the band. But thankfully no one bit on that one and kept the thread going towards the laugh it is.

I like the way that it's not fair to write a song about Nazis or Jihads but dedicating songs to serial killers and even an album in which many songs, including the title song preached hatred against a popular religion is not worth mentioning. As for the dude who would get scared if he visited Lemmy's house what a fucking peanut. Love or hate the guy there is barely a story out there from the people who knew the guy where they don't suggest he's one of the nicest people they ever met, yet this dick wants to get scared because he's got a few Nazi uniforms on display.

I think Dr Redfly is right, but I also think the attention has to be in agreement with the guy's thinking otherwise it means nothing.

It must be hard going through life seeking justification for your own thoughts. Imagine if the internet didn't exist and people like this had to talk to the people in their own life. The problem is by the law of averages we'd all know someone who is like that and they'd be the sort of people we couldn't escape!

Imagine if there wasn't people in this world who collected the "bad" side of history. It's getting that way lately where some people want to wipe the bad side of history from what we teach kids today. Slavery, Nazis, all manner of other evil shit happened, hiding it does not make the world better all it does is make the world dumb. I still think most of the people wanting to hide history from our kids are the sort of people who don't know how to explain it to their kids.

Hehe, that Slayer argument is still raging on Metal Archives. Tom's still a redneck, Sandra's still a misogynist and their music from 30+ years ago still hurts some people's feels. But now the posters are turning on each other. If you think the argument doesn't need to be discussed you're part of the problem. If you think the world needs more discussion like it you're part of the problem. If you just listen to the music and either enjoy it or dislike it without trying to make something from it you don't know how to listen to music.

I'm hoping that it's revealed, after another 30 pages of arguments, that the OP is actually Kerry King and he's just bored at home so he started a shit fight about his band to keep them in the limelight.
