The what's going on in Thrash thread

Well I suppose all decades do cop it eventually but I also think the shock value of the 80's was more prominent. By the 90's and 00's people stopped being shocked by such things. Now instead of shock we are just outraged! I know they have copped shit for the lyrics but while I'm not personally offended I reckon SOD said far worse things than Angel Of Death.

It's a pub rock song and the No way get fucked bit was added by the audiences at a Blue Light Disco. Not sure if you had them but they were put on by the cops (hence the Blue Light bit because back then our cop cars only had blue lights) and run for all ages. Kind of a safe gig for kids to attend while still seeing a band that mostly played to adults in pubs. So technically a bunch of kids with police supervision added the dirty and offensive lyrics to a song that actually go radio play up to that point.

Don't you dare hurt my feelings!
I don't understand how in just a few years people went from being desensitized to all these things to being hurt and outraged by absolutely everything.

I would never! :p

Man, clearing the cache worked for exactly 2 visits to BW. On the third visit I got Bad Gateway again. This was all in the same day hours apart lol. WTF.

I've got a site that gives me a different error but the same result. I can be logged in, I can use different browsers, I can delete cache, but every few days it logs me in then tells me I don't exist. It's quite disheartening.

And if only during those interviews he spoke more about how god told him what to do.
Maybe he could be a real mate and send that god bloke to Scott Ian for enlightenment and instruction on how to make a fucking album!

Speaking of more shit going on...

I accept that things are going to be different, at least for a period of time, as "COVID safe" becomes the norm but honestly I think Ticketmaster is pissing in the wind with claims like this. Forget about the fact that a vaccine is still very much up in the air, these idiots are not only saying vaccination will be required they are saying the vaccine will only last 12 months. Maybe they know something about vaccines that the rest of the world doesn't but from what I've been reading even the drug companies aren't saying anything definitive about how long vaccines might last.

What I do find interesting is that in Noo Zuland many gigs are going back to almost normal with little social distancing and even stage diving. In some parts of Aus we have been having concerts with and without social distancing for the last two months. Different areas have different rules but Northern Territory here hasn't had a local case of covid for something 6 months (forget Noo Zuland boasting about 100 days :) ), so they can fairly confidently run these gigs. I don't know if any of them are ticketmaster gigs, I assume not, but to me Tcketmaster making the above statement seems like they are pushing for gigs earlier than maybe they should be....as well as only caring about their bottom line.

Bloody ell, yeah that's the first I've heard that info. Ticketmaster is really in the know huh?!
Let's all put our faith into the hands of ticketmaster!

Are the concerts in Noo Zuland ;) local? I can't imagine they are having international acts coming in?

Lets see them get sued when someone has a test and then in the 72 hours between the test and concert they get a dose of covid and spread it throughout :)

Yeah theirs and ours are local gigs. New South Wales has organised 100 live gigs throughout the state for the month of November. All social distanced, all controlled, but a huge effort to try and get entertainers back on stage. We are even sending a couple of bands to Noo Zuland in either Dec or Jan to they can say they've had international acts :)
