The what's going on in Thrash thread

Yeah I love Anacrusis. My fave is Manic Impressions but that's only because I got it when it was first released. I probably didn't get Suffering Hour until the late 90's when they first offered it for download on their site, so Manic Impressions got a lot more play. But it wasn't long after I got Suffering hour that I decided to get all their albums.

Cool. It's not coming until Tuesday now . I had to order $10 more on Amazon to get free shipping lol. So I checked for a lot of bands. There wasn't much, but then I remembered Anacrusis got their music re released and boom! So once I get this I'm going to order the rest of them. Are there any that suck?

Nah I don't think so. There is a few demos and EPs that I either haven't heard or don't remember but the albums are all good. Reason is probably the one I listen to least but it's not a bad album.

https://www.blabbermouth.net/news/t...le-of-new-songs-before-returning-to-the-road/

For some reason I thought they had been writing new songs. In some ways I don't blame them for not doing it, they released an album at the start of this shitfight, but I still see writing/recording nothing as a waste of time. I would look at it like, I'm on a forced holiday right now so write a few songs and get them ready for the next album, then when the band takes time off to make the next album that time is either easier or quicker.

Two things I hope for with Testament looking into the future. No more Alex-raps and Chuck's recover hasn't left him short of breath.

I got lucky they changed the arrival again, it just got here. Woo Hoo! It feels very light. I fear it is a digi pack.

No you're right. They did say that. They also said they might do another album. Now he says nothing has been going on? And Eric writing is really speculation? And no mention of a streaming show. Fuck.
I'll be slightly pissed if I have to buy this album again for two songs. Slightly. It won't be so bad if they are ragers though.
If they really want to sell it to me they'll do two new songs and re do Rein Of Terror. I'm still waiting! Zetro's version on 1st Strike was weak.

Yeah it might be. I don't remember what they did for the re-releases but you can bet whatever it was the label spent the least to make the most

That's right there was a streaming show too. Fuck is right. Hey Chuck where is what you promised us muthafucka!! :)
Yeah I agree with only adding two songs. Make an EP with a few live songs or something rather than a new version of the previous album.
I think streaming would be a good chance for Chuck to test his post covid stamina, if shit hits the fan and he can't go on they just cut a stream and blame the internet!

Hmmm no I don't remember that either.

I remember plenty of Blabberwhingers talking about Kerry only being in it for the money (and good luck to him if he is) and I remember something about Tom's brother helping out the fellow crew. But lawyers and law suits is new to me. I can't imagine a guy whose worked with Slayer for as long as Tom's brother has would be selling copyrighted stuff on the side anyway. Tom's brother was pretty well looked after from what I remember reading.

I thought they were going to be the first to have a streaming show. Now nothing lol. I bet they couldn't get Alex to Cali. He's busy making stupid videos.
A live show would be a good test.

Oh that's right. I remember that now. But like you say, the other stuff seems out of no where.

Yup. It's a cheap ass digi. I hate these things, they got squished in my case.

Considering the band have not cared about making money directly from their music for years and the re-releases are pushed by the label it's not surprising they use digipaks. I was actually surprised when they announced the re-release.

California doesn't have "silver streak" hair product available in large enough bottles :)
Obituary are doing another 2 live sets from Florida soon, it's obviously working for them. I can't understand why other bands aren't following.

I was hoping they'd be like the re release of the Death catalog. Those are jewel plus they have a sleeve.
Of course they weren't as influential as Death, but still. When you're talk about something being special ... make it special!

Not the first time a Blabberwhinger has gone off on a tangent unbeknown to anyone else. Until I hear anything more official about it I'm going to assume the comment is just from some butthurt ex fan who is sad because the band broke up and didn't write the follow up to Hell Awaits that he's been waiting for for 30 years!
