The what's going on in Thrash thread

Did you post this? I didn't see it till know. Fucking Blabber. Look at the picture they use. They have never used that photo for him lol.

https://www.blabbermouth.net/news/m...vates-twitter-account-amid-sex-video-scandal/

Na I read it but decided it wasn't news worthy enough to share :)

There is one other photo of him probably from the same B&W shoot where he's got a real goofy look. It's like they searched their collection to find the one where he looks most like a sex pest. I'm really starting to wonder when they change the name of the site to TMZ Blabber

The saddest thing about Anthrax is that they have 2 guitarists and a bassist and their drummer still has to write the majority of their music. That is not a good sign.

Not to mention that many of their best songs were written by guys who are no longer in the band: Greg Walls and Dan Lilker.

Oh for sure, just look at all the Ted Nugent articles. That twat never used to be on every page of Blabber and now we have Charlie's relationship, Michael Sweet's love for god and who knows what else. Bravewords has quite a few articles that aren't specifically metal (see today there is one on Meatloaf) but at least they are usually music related.

It's anything they can find that might stir people up.

Politics, religion, scandal ...

Music is a distant 4th.

Quality music mentioned on there? Nonexistent.

Scott and Charlie seem to me to have taken the reins of the band whether that was by force or because the others let them I don't know but I'm sure if the others in the band were given a chance they too could write. Both Frankie and Joey have written songs outside of Anthrax that may not be as heavy as Anthrax but are as good as some of the stuff Charlie's offered over the last 20 years. And John it seems like that poor bastard doesn't even get named as a band member half the time let alone ever getting the chance to write.

Yeah it's click bait that gets them the hits and the comments. All those Ted Talks articles aren't there for the music it's the comments because every commentor increases traffic, every commentor increases ad revenue and every commentor increases google rankings. I've spent 25+ years making websites and watching the techniques needed to keep websites at the top of their market and this is nothing new but there is a line between pay off and detrimental actions. When Blabber started to fill their comment section with planted commentors to boost the comment numbers they crossed the line. Bravewords may not get every story Blabber does (although they get some good exclusives) but Braveword (in my experience) will have a more dedicated fan base who will support them longer than the paid plants support Blabber.

That being said if Blabber want to pay me to talk shit like half those wankers in the comment section I'm sure we can do a deal!!

"The next logical step", well that's a new description none of the other cool kids are using I hope he copyrights it :)

Given that there are bands like Flotz putting albums together I'm a bit surprised to hear Blitz say Peter Pandemic (I love that name) is keeping them apart. How different are things in the US now? We hear about all the vaccinations and we hear everything Biden says into a microphone but from the outside it appears if one band can get together and make an album while another band can't then there is areas of the US still struggling with getting back to whatever normal might be.

I'm pretty sure that black and white shoot has produced a number of head shots for Blabber. From the same shoot there is one of Snr with the stubbled growth where he looks like my old neighbour so ever time I see it I'm reminded of that. But I think there is several of Jnr and one has a real corny dumbarse look. However you're right, they know how to use them, the photo in front of the bass amps with the growly bared teeth look just wouldn't suit a story about someone who had 'adult interactions on the web with someone other than his wife"

But he's been writing for them for years and they just had two strong albums. What's the problem?
Gotta disagree. I'm not big on those first two albums. But maybe I just don't know. Which songs are theirs?
