My eldest always has a song in her head that she feels the need to tell us about. Yesterday she said she couldn't remember the name of the song but she'd been listening to Altitudes and Attitudes on Spotify and then she clicked on a Spotify recommendation. The songs might be in her head but she doesn't always remember them that well when it comes time to talking about them but she remembered the chorus was talking about bracing for something. I of course asked in she was talking about Bracing For Impact, sure enough it was. Last night before they went to bed we were mucking around in the lounge room and she asks her mum to put a song on, sure enough it's Flotz and next thing I know she's singing the chorus. Thanks Spotify, I've been playing that album since it came out and she doesn't care, you play it once and she loves it enough to go back and play some of their other songs!!!

I'll have to see how far she goes. Last night all she wanted to talk about was some shitty band whose music has been removed from Spotify and Google because the lead singer is an accused pedo. Honestly I think she's a lost cause!

FARK ME! Home schooling sucks!
My eldest's high school is marking her as absent because when she logged on to the classroom chat program she didn't specifically type "Hello <teachers name>" whilst all the kids were chatting. Lucky her form teacher isn't stupid and is messaging all the kids and parents to find out what is going on, otherwise I was nearly on my way down the to school to tear them a new arsehole!
Meanwhile the youngest's school hasn't even sent us work for her to do and it's the second day of home schooling. They've just updated the messages on the web system to tell us we should all be lobbing down to the school to pick up printed 'work packs' for the kids to complete. So with industry shut, shitloads of people working from home, only essential services open and the rest of us locked down, they expect us to go and line up at the fucking school gate and pick up printed work packs, which they have said wont be marked anyway.
Added to a great Monday morning, the hot water service shit itself last night and I'm waiting for a plumber to come and install a new one!

Whole thing needed replacing, the tank sprung a leak. But given that the last plumber told us it was on it's last legs 13 years ago and it's now 20 years old I figure we've done alright.
