Things that annoy you about re-issues

They did that with the reissue of Miasma's Changes+Love Songs EP(division of cover art) . Also, you need a mircroscope to be able to decipher the lyrics in the booklet. What sort of handicapped chicken writing is that?

One thing that annoys the shit out of me, is when you put a really bad quality demo at the end of a cd.. and here I'm talking about the re-issues of Opeth - Orchid and Morningrise.

It really ruins the ending of an album. It's cool that you get to hear a rare track, but for the love of god: Make it have a listenable quality. If you don't know what I'm talking about, go listen to Into The Frost Of Winter by Opeth. :erk:

Couldn't agree more...just put the bonus material on an extra disc, please!

I disagree. Lyrics do, but cover? For instance, At the Gates' TRiTSiO has a pretty unremarkable cover; I don't think that even once I had the desire to examine it closely. Just a plain red background with patches of black color, big deal. Nothing interesting about it The lack of a lyrics booklet makes the entire package even less remarkable. True, some cover art catches your eye, but some is just ugly or not particularly noteworthy. That shouldn't really impact the listening experience, imo.

You don't think the cover art has anything to do with the music?

It does(sometimes) but I can't say that examining TRiTSiO's cover adds much to the music on the album. They could've called it The Purple in the Sky is Ours and painted the cover purple; it would've had the same effect on me.
