Hey guys,

Thinking about biting the bullet on a g-system to go with my 5150. Obviously the clean sucks on the Peavey, so I was wondering what one might go for to fix it up into a nice shimmery fendery clean? A sansamp or something? I dont fancy splurging on a seperate Jc-120

dude for that money you can almost buy an AXE-FX which
1. can be used as an effects unit only and 2. offers killer tones.

you just need some midi solution to get control of the axe-fx,
as a MFC-101 costs too much IMHO.

cheers

Cheers dude! The main reason for picking up one for me is because of the ability it has to work as an amp channel switcher. As i understand it, you'd have to buy some sort of relay for the axe fx which would probably end up complicating things quite a lot right? If an axe fx could do that as wlel i'd be all over it.

One precaution about the G-system: there's a noticeable delay when switching amp channels with it, which doesn't bother some people, but it was enough to make me sell mine and go back to tap dancing.

Everything else about it rules, but every time I needed to switch from clean to distortion going into a chorus or whatever it sounded sloppy and weak because I could never hit the button at the right moment.
