THIS is the best game ever done!

Yeah I always account for most of the fanbase ranking the original over 2. That's totally valid.

I played 2 first though so I suppose it holds a special place for me. That and it seemed to be packed with more diversity and content than 1, which feels a little more monotone.

These things are always hard to judge since F2 is the superior game in every way, but the original is always the original and the feeling of stepping out of the vault for the very first time and really having no idea at all what was waiting out there is hard to beat.

But yes, if F2 was the first one you played then I guess the same applies to that one so it's all good.

I have these same feelings towards Diablo 1 and 2. Diablo 2 is just a way more refined game, especially after the expansion, and it's probably the game I've played most in my life... but Diablo 1 has something to it that draws me back every year. It's poorly balanced and quite clunky, yet the atmosphere is superb. Then again, Diablo 2 has the necromancer....

Agreed with a lot of games posted here, but what got me lately is this, altho it's a pretty new, and more of a movie than a game

Just rented that recently. It was ok. It does suck you in with the story and movie-like atmosphere. I finished it and was left wanting more (Season 2 not out yet, I assume?!).

I like how you can pick and chose certain things and I played through it (partially) twice because I wanted to save the cute chick instead of the dude.

Oh. Lolz. This goddamn game.....Won't lie, I just downloaded 1-3..... -.-

Since you seem to be into adventure games from the bronze age as well, did you happen to play Maniac Mansion back in the day? I think that was the first game I've ever played... and I was hooked right away! I remember leaving my commodore 64 on for days so I didn't have to start over from the beginning every time. I was relieved when they added a save-function for the pc versions.

I am shocked at how well these graphics have held up over time normally older games hurt my eyes. Ah the days of Age of Empires 2!

I totally agree! (although Age of Mythology was better IMO, still play it every so often - never gets old)
