This Year's Ozzfest

I've wanted to go the last several years, but I'm not paying $60 for freakin' lawn seats. I got seats, GOOD seats, for the first Ozzfest for $35!

maybe you can get a discount with your senior citizen card :loco:

offer ticketmaster a few cans of metamucil to offset their handling charges :yell:

show up with a walker and demand handicapped seating

babble incoherently and tell security you're ozzy, they're sure to believe you. allow a small amount of spittle to accumulate at the corners of your mouf

the question only remains when will Sharon quit pimping her poor vegetable husband for more millions.

Agreed - it's beyond the point of ridiculous.

but back to priest, it would make sense for them, with a new CD on the way....

Yep. The only thing I'd worry about would be that a combination of Sabbath, Maiden, Judas Priest and old-school Anthrax would require an enourmous amount of gate receipts to make it a profitable tour. Hence, in order to have a lineup of that caliber, we're talking ticket prices through the roof. I have a feeling though, that we won't be seeing Judas Priest because I think they would have been part of the initial confirmation of bands. Still, it does make a lot of sense for them to do the tour, so who knows?

They have the CDs, and one of Sepultura's videos was filmed at Ozzfest (I'm in it  ), but I don't know about a DVD. And yeah, seeing Ozzy hobble around is hysterically sad. Seeing him this Friday at some benefit concert, for the 2398535305897th time. Woo.

Guess that lineup won't be coming over here. I'm looking to settle with Download festival with (so I hear) Black Sabbath, Slayer and...Billy Idol! :D

Damn cool Ozzfest lineup though. Seems to be becoming good these days.

Has 3 confirmed bands so far - Black Sabbath...
Yawn. If I want to hear Sabbath, I'll play their discs. There's little value, in my eyes, in seeing a band whose members might break a hip at any given moment.

...Iron Maiden and Anthrax's complete Among the Living old school line up.
Now that would be quite cool.

Yeah, I hear ya, but I've never seen 'em live, so I think once in my life would be pretty exciting, geriatric factor or not.

Yeah, the only old fogies I'm interested in are King Crimson, but that's because they are rocking harder than ever instead of still living off annual reunion tours and two shitty new songs (from 7 years ago).

EDIT: Well, Psycho Man was kinda cool, but the other one sucked ass.

Wait, am I reading that right? Iron Maiden are on OzzFest? With Black Sabbath? Oh. my. god. And they're going to play on each date? I thought they were only going to play select shows now, and OzzFest is pretty elaborate is it not? And what setlist to Maiden choose? It's not like they're supporting a new album now, so maybe they'll do an "Ed Hunter"....

History in the making right there. I'm dumbfounded. I can't even comprehend it, I've got the gun in my mouth right now...

Further still, am I right in reading posts suggesting that adding Priest to the line up would be cool? Fucking hell, is there no pleasing some of you? Jesus....

By the way, how does OzzFest work when Black Sabbath play? Do they replace 'Ozzy Osbourne', or does he do his own separate set? And I assume Zakk Wylde is the current guitarist for Ozzy?

Maiden at Ozzfest? This is quite the surprise as I never pictured them touring in anything other than a headlining situation, unless they could charge more money...seeing them, the classic Anthrax lineup, and some doddering old fart reading from a teleprompter in the same place may outweigh any reservations about high prices...

...but Clear Channel will likely be putting on the shows, so fuck 'em anyway.

I'm assuming they'll be doing the Early Days set, right?
