Hey everyone,

Based on the other thread "Thrash - Personal Faves", I wanted to start this new thread to list recommendations on the 'less obvious' choices. ;)

So the rule is, you can't choose Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, or Slayer etc!

I have a feeling that there is plenty of damn good thrash that some of us may be missing out on (old or new)!

FLAMES is a very good thrash band from Greece..... they exist since 1985 I think, but never become wellknown or something.... they have released 5 albums I think.....
 
I'll leave out a band's particular album I can't 100% reccomend, even if I like it or not...

@A Journeys End - would you consider The Crown to be thrash? I heard a track of theirs from the metal blade compilation CD and it was easily closer to Death Metal....?

By the way, a really cool thrash CD I just picked up: WITCHERY - SYMPHONY FOR THE DEVIL

Which track did you hear? Only their debut is heavily death favored, the rest of the albums are a perfect mix of death/thrash.
