Thrash!

If you hate this album, you're gay

:kickass:

Is it gay to not like the vocals though? Their singer is too high pitched for the brutality that is their first two album.

I didn't know there was a re-recording. Which recording was featured on the 2 on 1 digipak issue? I have that, and an original copy of Beyond the Unknown.

Here is a list from the Opprobrium Myspace:

RE-RELEASES:

"Serpent Temptation" (the 1994 remake)

"Beyond The Unknown" (1990)
Dunno, man. I don't have the 2 on 1 digpack...
I picked up Serpents Temptation on CD many, many years ago and it had Howard doing the vocals, the guitars were far heavier and some of the lyrics had been re-written. I liked the general sound on Beyond the Uknown but I was downright upset with what they did to Serpents.

That's been sitting on my hard drive for a few weeks now but I forgot about it. Will give it a listen shortly.

Thrash that's been owning me lately: Minotaur - Power of Darkness

The best Thrash Metal album in years has finally been released.

Sauron - Satanic Assassins

The 'Lords Of Slaughter And Warfare' are at it again and their sophmore campaign demonstrates they mean business. Carried by a chainsaw bass that has been sorely missing in Metal since the glorious days of SLAUGHTER and VOIVOD (though ORDER FROM CHAOS did come close...) and driven by relentless drums, blistering guitar and roaring vocals this most basic of all possible band line-ups rips through the 7 songs of this album like a Demonic 'Possession'. If you like the dark, chaotic and haunting side of Thrash Metal you can't go wrong here. Released in December 2008.

Does anyone here listen to Holy Moses? I've been meaning to check them out, but have no idea what albums to check out by them first.

help?

I've only heard Queen of Siam and their newest Agony of Death.

Queen of Siam is cool, Agony of Death not so much. I love Sabina Classen's vocals, and I usually hate chick singers.

Most excellent news.

I'm really ignorant when it comes to thrash. I suck.

I mean, I know Sodom, Kreator, Destruction, Slayer, Sadus, Sepultura, Coroner, and a few others but that's about it.
