Interesting list - I'm glad they didn't rank and just list the best films. Makes a change....

Some obvious (but well earned) choices such as Casablanca, Citizen Kane, Lawrence of Arabia etc, but some cool additions too like....

Blade Runner and Goodfellas.

TWO BIG QUESTIONS:

Where the F is The Usual Suspects?? Surely the greatest mystery-thriller since anything Hitchcock ever penned.

And if you're not including the Usual Suspects, where do you get off including Drunken Master II?? I mean, if you're going with a token chink film, you might as well go with part 1 or Snake in the Eagle's Shadow or something else a little retro.

Horrible list. Horrible fucking list. Although, Blade Runner owns.

Metropolis is a pretty fucking good flick too....

but whats this shit about Finding Nemo??!?!?!

Dude Finding Nemo is an AWESOME movie. Seriously. Great flick. Like wow. Totally. I can't believe how much I truly love that movie. It's like a truck.

This list isn't terrible, it has stuff like Dr. Strangelove, The Godfather I & II, The Good The Bad and The Ugly, Star Wars, Pulp Fiction, Psycho, Brazil, blah blah blah.

I've seen Finding Nemo a hundred times now. :D (I still think Monsters Inc is the best Pixar flick though, but they're all good. Haven't seen The Incredibles yet).

I don't think the list is bad at all. It even has David Cronenberg's version of The Fly, but you know, if you're going to have one horror entry, why would you choose anything over The Exorcist?

And where the heck is Jaws?

Some good entries, some obvious ones missing....typical with any list.

City of God made it, and that only came out last year or so. Sure it's great, but a bit soon to make the list. I bet tourism to Rio dropped by 80% after that film came out. Possibly the best "gangster" film since Goodfellas.

Why would anyone be sarcastic about the second greatest horror movie of all time?

The Haunting > The Exorcist > the rest

EDIT: Hmm, maybe third if you count The Shining.

I have to assume you're talking about the original The Haunting...otherwise, I might just have to feed you to the Samoan.

The Exorcist is untouchable. The horror is in the grain of the 35mm, the sound, the editing...if you're going to teach the art of horror, you only need to dissect this film and you're done.

If not The Exorcist, then The Changeling.

Nikkuh puhleaze, even if Catherine Zeta McDougle Marmaduke Jones Douglas McGoo herself came out of the screen and sucked me off, the original is still infinitely better.

I've never seen The Changeling. *ducks*
