Today's \m/ metal \m/ playlist

i started with their "good" albums and they still suck. elegy, tuonela, and 1000 lakes. boring, boring, and boring.

Far From the Sun sounded good when it came out. I never listen to it anymore.

Elegy is their best by far, although Tales and Tuonela aren't too far behind.

The rest... not so much.

Switching gears...

What happened to Aborym? I'm too lazy to Google...are they still a band, and did they have an album after With No Human Intervention?

I don't think so. WNHI is fucking nuts though, I love it.

Isn't Attila back with "Mayhem"?

I heard of a new one coming soon.. "generator" I think it's called

but once I heard Attila wasn't involved I quickly lost interest

What did that nutjob say that was worth quoting?

something along the lines of:

Music and Illicit Substances are my true loves, for everything else there is lube and tissue paper.

May not be exact, but i'm too lazy to email myself and copy and paste.

Yeah, I interviewed them a few months back. Just finished recording a new album with Faust drumming, Attila guest vocals on two songs. It's called Generator.

“This album will be the best Aborym album ever. Intelligent, intense and sophisticated… Quality extreme music” Fabban (programming/bass) states with confidence when asked of the follow up to With No Human Intervention[$italics]. “I think the music is more organic and heavier than before” Bård continues. “There is a death metal vibe to it all, in addition to the dominant black metal feeling. It won’t be as fast as usual, since I have my limitations, but the increased heaviness will compensate for this. Extreme music can come in many forms” In addition to the ex-Emperor, current Scum drummer, the new line-up features Mysticum guitarist Prime Evil on vocals, and sees the departure of guitarist Sethlans Teitan. Fabban explains; “when Attila Csihar decided to go back with Mayhem we started brain-storming, and realized it’s better to go ahead with a new ‘full-time’ singer. Mayhem are a big band, touring around the globe all the time, and we’re sure Attila will be very busy playing with those guys. We need the presence of a singer. We met Prime Evil at the Inferno Festival in Oslo, and, being big Mysticum fans, after a short time we asked him to be our new singer. His answer was ‘fuck yeah!’ Prime Evil is the new Aborym voice of death!”
