which is the best way ot achive this sound in a no pro way
spending a low budget?

probably not gonna happen

but on the cheap, my best guess would that one of those wannabe rectifier bugeras along with a decent V30 cab would get you close

I think Tool always used marshalls and lately diezel vh-4.

I don't think a bugera copy of a rectifier kind of amp will get you close to tool sound.

Try to find some info on the marshalls they use and maybe there's some bugera or other amp that can get closer that kind of sound!

ìis a MArshal 1976 super bass and some pedals maybe

Honestly, there's really nothing incredibly special about Adam Jones' tone itself. You can dial in something similar with any half-decent rock amp. I'd start with Marshalls since his tone is more mid-focused.

The distinctive thing about what he's doing has to do with HOW he plays. His pick attack, all of the little bends and effects and things he does, the interaction with the bass, are what makes it sound like Tool. He could probably use almost any amp (or amps) and sound like that. That's the thing about great players: it's not the specific gear they're using, it's the way they approach the instrument.

opiate/undertow were marshall only

eveything from aenima on was his marshall along with a triple recto and diezel, both live and on record...that's why i mentioned that a recto wannabe might be the best option on the cheap
