toontrack, splashes and similair cymbals

I always imagine chinas, mini or not, like a normal cymbal that has been scooped a lot in the mids, and then having the highs saturated.

Hell, experiment and see if you can do something like that on a 12" Splash or so and see if it sounds cool :P Atleast it would be sort of unique, even if it doesn't sound like a china.

do they have mini chinas??

Btw, I have a mini-china sampled and ready to be used. Raw files though, needs high pass etc.

It's a Bosphorus 10" China, it's not a china-splash, it really is a mini-china :) Sounds shit when you listen to it solo but works very well within a full kit. Costs a fucking fortune too :|

Just in case you need it, there it is. Got other cymbals as well, just browse around and have a look: http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=c058d05e371c6417ab1eab3e9fa335cab0a1d1f359985e14

Yeah, I'd program the hits in EZD or whatever as something you don't have in the kit, like a cowbell. Then trigger the samples from Gojira_ using Drumagog.

sounds good guys, thanks for all the tips and samples.

i sampled the dudes cymbals for good measure. perhaps they will be of use. i'm only worried they'll sound unnatural (but i got about 20 hits of each cymbal).

wish me luck, this is a metalblade release
