I'm curious, why does everyone like Show No Mercy so much? I loved Reign-Seasons, so I bought Show No Mercy, and frankly, while good, it didn't live up to the classics on the other albums in my view.

That's because it's the mix of heaviness and accessibility that attracts the mainstream in great numbers.

black album sucks. whilst it has a few interesting riffs that dont suck arse, it is effectively fucking boring. so for the most part, "metalheads" dont rate it, as it is nothing past mediocre.

most overrated metal albums are clearly master of puppets and reign in blood, bonded by blood being a very distant 3rd.

i stand by the list and agree with it for the most part. come up with a better list and ill acknowledge it. but based on votes, i guarantee the GMD couldnt do any fucking better.

The Black Album has a couple of interesting songs, such as My Friend of Misery and The Unforgiven, but it also has a few really bad ones, such as Enter Sandman and Nothing Else Matters. I like both Load and ReLoad better...

The Black Album gets a lot more shit than it deserves. Also to think that Bonded By Blood is overrated is insane. Pleasure To Kill is overrated.
