I've listened to it twice now and it's great, but still I'm saddened. It's not the feelgood happy Travis I love to like. It's bordering on sad at times even. Times are dark when they've gotten to Fran Healy as well, watched them on Roskilde 2002 and he's one of the only people I've seen deliriously happy on stage, still being very likeable. I've always liked his voice very much too.
First impression is it's a great album anyway but Travis sad! I'd been counting on them weighing out AND a bit. Think I'll have to go back and listen to "Happy" a couple of times soon.
I never felt that Radiohead copycat tag was very fair.
