Triggers when tracking drums

Hmm, might resurect this thread. My recent trail with using a TD-3 module with a acoustic drums has proven to be a complete failurem, the lack of settings for decay and noisegate values are just such a construction flaw. Right now i've configured the whole thing with triggers straight into audio interface, and then aptrigga. Also keeping the old trusty DM5 as a back-up.

Yeah, sounds like a good idea, it's just that I don't have enough inputs to do that as I am micing the kit also...
Can anyone recommend a good module that has more control over decay & noisegate etc. settings?

I actually use an alesis trigger I/0 module, and i have the same problem of digitaldeath...you can adjust the gain and that stuff...but if you have a neandertal drummer that hits the drums so hard, for me, it's impossible to avoid the retrigger effect...

with a little bit sepparation between the pieces of the drum, the retrigger effect changes...


but for me is impossible... i prefer the sound replacement...

Well if you don't care about the sound itself, the dm5 is a workhorse.
