Trooper = Trixxi Trash

Right you are Jonny! :) Things come & go in circles, rock & roll and metal will come back don't worry!

Thanks Hawk, I can't wait to get out there playing! Problem is that its hard finding the right people to do that stuff these days with me, but its all finally working out after a long time! Got an originals project finally starting to get off the ground and was rehearsing a glam/hair metal tribute show for a while until we lost the bassist & drummer but looks like now we have replacements so it shouldn't be too long before we can start rokkin' Melbourne's live scene with an over the top '80s hair metal show! You should see the stuff we've got planned for it haha! Strippers, scantily-clad female backing vocalists like Motley had, stage moves replicating the classic video clips, full costumes/hair/makeup, everything!

That's great!! Would it not be cool if you could perform on a Old School meeting before us all one day. Damn! I think we should work hard to make this a reality.

Trix you are cool as hell dude !! Many people would be flat out scared to say they like glam music. You are a true metal fan. Your style of metal is not my top pick, but you are serious and passionate about what you like.

Hehe it would be awesome Hawk! Problem is that I live on the other side of the world to you guys which would make it harder for me to be at the old school meet! :(

Heheh thanks Bryant... I reckon you're cool as hell too :) Yeah I just don't care if people put me down about liking that stuff - I love it and that's all that counts to me!

That sounds awsome dude hehehe sounds like its gonna be a blast if you record anything be sure to let us ol' boys hear it!

The tribute show won't be recording anything, just a live band to put on shows around Australia and hopefully get a good repuation and play shows as big as Kisstroyer do. (They're a Kiss tribute show in Melbourne who play to crowds of 1000 in the same venues that some overseas bands play, and have a full Kiss stage show (including strippers) just scaled down to fit a club!)

However the originals band will! I'm workin' on putting the band together at the moment and me & another guy involved are writing some songs and coming up with ideas... its exciting. Total hair metal.... but we figure the way to make an impact is to go over the top and not make the mistake most new bands do which is mix it with modern rock. All the biggest bands got big coz they were the opposite of the current trends. So we figure we pretend the music scene from 1993 onwards never happened and pick up where 1992 left off and still make it sound new & fresh but picking up from THERE and ignoring the last 10 years of rock. Take the sleaze sound further & more over the top is our idea! Bigger choruses, sleazier lyrics, badder attitude, bigger & more screaming sounding guitars, more explosive HUGE sounding production (unlike the more flat production of new bands), everything! Attack all the senses! You should hear some of the titles we have hahahahah! The PMRC would've been on our back about it if it was the '80s for sure hahaha! We've already got the album title & cover worked out too and its pretty good haha! Then there's our video idea for the title track.. LOL!

We've made plenty of plans!

 Thats great man I'd love to hear you guys when you get something recorded lol I'v never known any *Real* glam metal dudes .... lol they would get killed in Vermont hahahahaha But I totally get what you mean about not being modern and going with the mainstream I got a band going and we play Heavy Metal plain and simple no genres Just Metal! I'v been told we sound like Anthraxy-Megadethy-Biohazard which gives you an idea of what we sound like, and yes I dont think the Pmrc would dig us either lol I wrote a little love jingle last night at work called "Kill me,Shake me,Fuck me,Break me" its gonna be a classic!!! :loco:

Hahaha that title sounds awesome!!! I totally know what you mean too... just play heavy metal! Fuck trying to adapt to anything in particular, just play what you know best and what's in your heart!

For me that's over the top sex-charged hair metal haha! So that's what I play! People aren't stupid, they can spot fakes. That's why when hair bands tried to do grunge albums in the mid-90s, the grunge fans didn't buy it. They know it wasn't real because at heart those bands were rock & rollers, not grunge bands.

Do what you do best and you've got a much better chance at succeeding I think! And even if you don't you'll have a lot more fun trying!

Exzactly man Exzactly we play hard and we play fucking fast and sometimes lol we almost sound like rock stars and thats just bass and drums lol I wrote this song like 2 weeks ago its kinda a mix of like ummmmmm well .... the opening riff is bluesy and sleazy and then it kicks into a Overkill sounding thing its pretty cool and its some of our best sounding stuff yet :) \m/ Fuck Posers! hehehe

Awesome! I remember something one of the dudes from Overkill said on a Hard N Heavy video once, it stuck with me... about Overkill being their attitude - if you're gonna do something, do it over the top. That's always my attitude too!

lol my stage presence tends to be pretty over the top and thats normally because I'm the only one moving up there lol so I have to do what I can to keep it visually interesting so sometimes hahahaha my playing quality is sacreficied for a few moments of eye candy lol what the hell was this convo about it lol I think I'm going off track but.... maybe not ok I gotta stop :loco:

  Nah that's cool I agree! If you just wanted to hear the songs, people can sit home and listen to CDs haha. You go see a band to SEE a show as well. :)

Exzactly man thats why I go to shows! some people like to go to kick ass and get their ass kicked lol I dont know why I always though the point of going to a show was to watch an incredible band do its thing! thats how I see it :) ..... anyways if your interested I'm workin on uploading some songs on to Soundclick .com as soon as I have um up I can post a link for ya

That's cool. Bands need to be entertainers as well as artists. I have been blessed enough to see some of the best in their day like DLR (with Vai) Dio (multiple times) Yngwie in his prime (Odyssee tour with JLT) Kiss, Brother Cane (cool modern Southern Rock band with a great frontman in Damon Johnson) Cinderella, Anthrax (Belladonna era) Pantera, Angel Dust, Crue, Vanden Plas etc. etc.

Ya know of all people :) I knew you would understand that! I love Brother Cane!!!!! but weve been over that before

I've never even heard of them haha.

The best live shows I've ever seen though, without a doubt, are the 4 Kiss concerts I've been to. Apart from Kiss, I've only ever seen: Judas Priest (with Ripper), Megadeth, Metallica, Bruce Kulick (3 times), Edguy and Doro as far as overseas bands go.

I wish bands like Motley Crue, Poison, Cinderella, Slaughter etc would come to Australia! I told Johnny Dee from Britny Fox to bring those guys out when I met him! Haha! He said there's not much chance though. :(

Motley Crue were meant to come in 2000, I was sooo excited! Then a month before the shows they cancelled because Vince wanted to end the tour because he lost his voice.

How's this for a lack of bands touring Australia:
- Iron Maiden haven't been here since 1992, and even that was only a mini-tour with 2 dates Australia wide! Last full tour was 1985.
- Judas Priest's tour here in 2001 was their first EVER tour of Australia.
- Motley Crue have only been once, 1990.
- Poison have only been twice, 1989 and 1991.
- Warrant have only been in 1991.
- Most other bands from the "hair" era such as Cinderella, Slaughter, Britny Fox, etc etc etc have actually never been I don't think.
- Def Leppard haven't come here since 1992 on the Adrenalize tour.
- Black Sabbath haven't toured here since about 1980 I don't think. And Dio I don't believe have ever come, but I might be wrong.
- WASP have never toured Australia, ever.
- Twisted Sister have only ever come on the Stay Hungry tour.
ETC ETC ETC The list goes on.

Considering I was only born in 1982, I have never seen any of these bands live (except Judas Priest).

hey cheer up dude! You could alway's fly over to Europe or the US. Why not come one summer to Europe and see the famous Wacken Festival?

Start saving some wad!! :)
