Trouble with BluRay?

Hey all, I have bought two copies ( separately ) of the new bluray from amazon and neither of them worked in my Playstation 3. It didn't just mess up it was like there was nothing there at all. I haven't had any problems like this before. I even have the Testament bluray from Germany and it works fine.
Has anyone else had any trouble like this?

Unfortunately it's the only bluray player I have. I do have a friend that has one but I haven't gotten there yet.
It is weird though,because the ps3 updates and like I said I have never had this problem.

Standalone BD player mate, I have a Toshiba and it plays everything, its the best option

I think the new Anthrax blu-ray is region free. It could be that Sony doesn't like that and doesn't let the PS3 play them.

I think that most or all bluray disc are region free. I'm going to call Sony maybe there is some update I need.

My copy of the blu ray plays fine on my PS3, it's the only BD player I have/use.

Yeah I bought it new about a year ago when my original died. Maybe that's it.

Well thanks for the info! That it's the version I have is the only thing I can think of.Guess I'll try calling Sony.Maybe there is a patch.
