True Temperament

I had the chance to see a guitar with true temperament at a Mattias EA Eklundh clinic, he let us play with it too and I must say that it looks weird, it fells like a normal guitar neck and frets in the hands and it's a very good thing if you often use chords in the uper part of the neck.

The only downside I fear is that if you play with one you should have the other guitar and bass players have true temperament on their instruments too or it may cause intonation between band members floating around...
But this last thing maybe is just a fear of mine.

IMO if it really holds what it promises and you don't have to change your playing style, it must be one of - or maybe the - best invention for the guitar ever made.
just imagine not to tune for every chord while recording......

As a side effect/bonus it also extends the sustain significantly (demonstrated in one of those TT Vai vids).

totally sold......:ill:

FWIW Vai used to use the Buzz Feiten system on all his guitars before TrueTemperament came around.

Heard about this a while ago and I definitely want to try it soon. This is a very intriguing development. It sounds so in tune from the videos that in places it almost doesn't sound real, more like a keyboard playing a guitar sample library.
