They seem to have a code or something that assigns pixels or styles of pixels to letter groups or something.

Or maybe just classifies names according to the composing letter sets and displays a face associated with that class.

I dunno. If you open the images it displays and change the filenames, composed of numbers, minutely, you get slight alterations of the style of the face.

Which means that they're prestored and not auto generated and just well organised.

If they were auto generated, any 'new kind of a face' that pops up would have had to go between say 34 and 35, which isnt possible since all file names till now have been integral.
