Type O Negative.. At this moment.

i was saying that if this tune didnt have that lead break at 2:35 and again at the 3:36 this tune is totally fuckin magical...

Guru? Reallly???

The 2:36 mark.. that fits the tune? it makes it textural? I disagree.

this tune coud have been 1 minute shorter with better impact.. this thing is a masterpiece.. the leasds totally ruin it, imo.

3:45 its there AGAIN.... I disagree...... everything else.. total fucking magic.. beautiful bridge.. etc.. but that lead no.. i dont like it.

how RAD is peter steele and the piano..ok.. im done.

hate to hijack but.. this Type O is absolutely fucking stellar..

full on SLUDGE guitars.. but Pete Stelle hits that perf intonation that you want in a singer...

"May I light yoru cigarette?"

I think Type O Negative are severely underrated and misunderstood. I hope they release something new soon. Definitely one of my favorite bands ever, and "Love You to Death" is one of their masterpieces. The entire October Rust album is amazing.

Totally agree. One of the best bands of our time. Dont think theyre ever done a bad song and theres no one else that sounds like em. Awesome!

Fields of Nephilim sounds like type o ... Actually i should say Type O Sounds like fields of nephilim. FoN Were around 1st, without a (from a chicks point of view) that hott tal vampire lookin singer ...lol

Now this isnt to say Type O are all about image. Believe me ive been listening to them since the 1st CD came out, hell i been listening to Peter Steel since the Carnivore days, Growing up in Brooklyn in the 80s and 90s this was Local music, Bands like Type O , BioHazard, Life Of Agony, they were all friends that hung out in the neighborhood.

We used to all go to L'amour in Brooklyn and go see these bands atleast twice a month.

I DO still think the guitar solos work in this. They give you a nice break from petes low low vocals. It balances them out.

i recently recorded Michael Åckerfeldt's vocals for a song written and recorded by Josh Silver of Type O Negative. The song was very melancholy and perfectly suited to Mike's clean vocal style. Overall it was a well crafted tune with a simple but effective arrangement and Josh did a great job. He was also a pleasure to deal with, as was Mike as always. That song will be turning up on the upcoming Roadrunner United 25th Anniversary project later this year. Andy has mixed a couple tracks for this same project, including one i played on. The other track for the project that i played on was mixed by Colin Richardson.

:kickass:

Was "Annihilation By The Hands Of God" mixed by Andy or Colin then ? My guess would be Andy...
Colin. Andy mixed Constitution Down. Those are the 2 i played on.

James - Did you do the track with Mikael and Josh Silver at your home?

Have you ever posted pics of your home studio on here? I'd really like to see it...
