I was wondering what your inspiration was for the song "Universal" from "The Archaic Course?"

The song inspires me more than the others, even though the whole album is ingenious.

It would give the song much more meaning if i could somehow find myself in your mindset at the time of creation.

Ah, yes.. Universal.. One of the best Borknagar songs ever. The intro is simply mind-blowingly beautiful

Øystein is seldom here, but it happens. It's been a while since he last posted on this forum. Universal means a lot to me; as I said before it's one of the best Borknagar songs ever. The vocals and lyrics are incredible. It's one of those songs I never get tired of. Beautiful art.

Universal is a masterpiece.That song really broadened my view on metal music (as I had not heard of Borknagar till 6 months ago).I still think Colossus is one of the best songs the band has conceived,as those two songs were the ones which made me a fan.
What does the song mean to me?
I'd have to say Universal is Borknagar in my mind,as that song will go down as the song which got me into the band.
