Unrestrained Magazine

[Reign in Acai]

Anybody have a subscription to this magazine? It comes out quarterly. I'm seriously considering getting one as it comes with 2 free cd's per issue. The subscription is $30 (U.S) for 4 issues. I thumbed through the latest one at Tower Records and found it to be quite enjoyable. (Unlike Terrorizer and Metal Maniacs which cover alot of metalcore shit I could care less about) Anybody a subscriber to this or any other respectable magazine?

I used to read it, but the bookstore near me that carried it went out of business. So I have no clue if it's still a good read.

Mmm.. they had a Canadian metal special last issue, with Woods of Ypres and Lapidate and a bunch of other bands from my area! I still have to go find it in a store sometime!

Metal Maniacs is one of the better metal magazines I've seen...yeah they cover a fair amount of metalcore bands, but their underground coverage is great too. I guess I'll have to check out Unrestrained

Unrestrained is great. Occasional commercial coverage, but there is still a lot of interviews/articles of lesser known bands within the metal scene.

The canadian BM article = Win!

I went back to Tower Records yesterday to pick up a copy. After reading a couple of articles. I highly recommend it! It's Very well written.
